Special Education Teacher - Spectrum Middle School/High School
About the role
Spectrum is a grade 5-12 college prep public charter school located in Elk River, MN with 19 years of educational excellence. We have a robust concurrent enrollment program known as C@SH (College @ Spectrum High). Over the course of three years (grades 10-12), Spectrum students have the opportunity to complete the MN Transfer Curriculum or an AA degree while remaining fully on our high school campus. Spectrum is leading the way in excellence in education and is seeking a Special Education teacher to meet the needs of our middle or high school students who is passionate about making a difference.
Responsibilities
Supports the academic success of students with special needs by providing individualized instruction and accommodations.
Requirements
Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Proficiency in using assistive technology

Pay
$45,000 - $55,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the students and the school.
