Special Education Teacher Self-Contained - Elementary School

About the role

Responsible for teaching students in a self-contained classroom setting within an elementary school environment. Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and administrators to support student learning.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in the state where employed.
• Experience working with elementary school students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.

Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule
