Special Education Teacher - Schools
About the role
We are seeking two Special Education Teachers (SPEDT's) for a 2026-2027 school year assignment in Arizona. The positions require Arizona State Certification in Moderate/Severe Intellectual Disabilities or the K-12 Intellectual Disability Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school students in self-contained special education classrooms
- Work with students who have significant behavioral and medical needs
- Operate within a maximum class size of 10 and a 2:1 student-to-staff ratio
- Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm
Requirements
- Arizona State Certification in Moderate/Severe Intellectual Disabilities or the K-12 Intellectual Disability Certificate
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings
- Ability to work with students who have significant behavioral and medical needs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively
