About the role
We are seeking a full-time Resource Teacher for a K-8 campus. The position will serve a grade level band (K-2, 3-5, or 6-8).
Responsibilities
- Support students with special needs within a classroom setting
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide small group instruction and interventions as needed
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Current Arizona Teaching Certificate in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Pass a background check
- Pass a criminal history check
- Pass a drug screening

- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and student assessment
