About the Role
Special Education Teacher Mod/Severe positions are available for the 26/27 school year in Nevada City, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and legal requirements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities to enhance instructional effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Special Education Teaching Endorsement
- Hold active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement issued by DOE
- Have experience with IEPs
Pay
$2,646 to $2,789 weekly
Schedule
Contracts are up to 40 hours per week, with workdays ending mid-late afternoon and weekends off.
