About the role
We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers (Mild/Moderate) to join a supportive school-based team serving students across various grade levels. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping students reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Available assignments:
- Independent Studies | Grades 2–12
- Resource Specialist Program (RSP) | Grades K–6
- Self-Contained Classroom (SDC) | Grades 2–5
- Emotional Disturbance (ED) Program | Grades 6–8
- Middle School Mild/Moderate | Grades 7–8
- Additional Elementary RSP opportunities
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams
- Monitor student progress and maintain educational documentation
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in educational planning and student support meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching credential/certification as required
- Special Education credential (preferred)
- Elementary, Secondary, and/or Special Education certification (preferred)
- Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
- Current CPR certification if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Pay
Up to $1,575 gross per week ($45/hour)
