Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must hold active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement issued by DOE
- Must have experience with IEPs
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and legal requirements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities to enhance instructional effectiveness
