About the role

We have openings for Special Education Teacher roles in Houston, TX for the 26/27 school year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
  • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and legal requirements
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities to enhance instructional effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Must hold active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement issued by DOE
  • Must have experience with IEPs

Pay

$1,804 to $1,983 weekly

Schedule

Contracts are up to 40 hours per week, with workdays ending mid-late afternoon and weekends off
