Special Education Teacher- Kindergarten

Location: Yonkers, NY | School Year: 2026–2027

About the role

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Special Education Teacher to support kindergarten students for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, school-year assignment with continuing education and professional learning support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, school administrators, and families to support student success.
• Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic, behavioral, and social growth.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

Requirements

• Valid New York Special Education Teaching License for Kindergarten.
• Minimum one year of experience in a Special Education classroom.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, classroom management, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Pay

$75,000–$90,000 annually (based on experience)
