About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This educator will provide specialized instruction, implement individualized learning plans, and collaborate with staff and families to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success. Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education requirements.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Ability to meet all state, local, and district employment requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- CPR certification, if required.

- $70/hour
