About the role

Prepare special education material to support students in Integrated Co-Teaching classrooms. Align educational supports to student's IEPs. Modify and deliver lessons, as a consult teacher, that are engaging, and effective as demonstrated per student data. Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and community members. Assess and evaluate student growth; create and execute action plans at class-wide, group-wide and individual basis in response to student data. Model CREATE values and foster classroom culture that develops the values in students. Effectively and regularly communicate with parents to address individual student needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid New York State teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Ability to modify and deliver lessons effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in creating and executing action plans based on student data.
• Ability to model and foster a classroom culture that promotes the CREATE values.
• Experience working with families and community members.
