Responsibilities

• Teach students with various disabilities in inclusive and specialized settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to meet individual needs.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Kansas teaching license with applicable endorsement(s)
• Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with significant or severe disabilities preferred
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

• Additional 4% salary for teaching in a classroom not designed for students with significant or severe disabilities
• Additional 5% salary for teaching in a classroom designed for students with significant or severe disabilities
