About the role

Responsibilities
- Teach students with various disabilities in inclusive and specialized settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to meet individual needs.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Kansas teaching license with applicable endorsement(s)
- Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with significant or severe disabilities preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits
- Additional 4% salary for teaching in a classroom not designed for students with significant or severe disabilities
- Additional 5% salary for teaching in a classroom designed for students with significant or severe disabilities
Skills
- Knowledge of special education methodologies and techniques
