Itinerant location: Randolph Academy - Randolph Campus. Anticipated vacancy for a probationary, full-time position starting as soon as possible.

About the role

Randolph Academy is a public school with two campuses (Randolph, NY and Hamburg, NY) that supports, empowers, and educates students with emotional and mental health disabilities. Promoting a normative culture and restorative practices, our academic programs offer small class sizes, individualized instruction, and an emphasis on community involvement. Our Regents exam scores consistently exceed the NYS averages for students with disabilities, and our graduation rates have been 100% in recent years.

This role reports to the Principal and operates on an 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM schedule at the Randolph Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in grades 1–6
  • Implement individualized education plans within small class settings
  • Apply restorative practices and therapeutic crisis-intervention techniques
  • Engage students in community-involvement activities

Requirements

  • New York State certification in Students with Disabilities, Grades 1–6 (required)
  • Dual certification in Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and experience with at-risk youth

Pay

Starting salary from $49,500 per year, per negotiated contract. Competitive benefit package included.
