Special Education Teacher - Elementary

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute classroom instruction to meet the educational needs of students with Autism and related disabilities.
• Foster students’ personal growth in cognitive, social/emotional, and language domains.
• Implement and follow Individual Education Plans (IEP), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) in collaboration with a team of related services specialists.

Qualifications

• NJ State License TSWD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped).
• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
• Creativity, ambition, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work within a team and manage a team of paraprofessionals.

Pay

Competitive salary based upon experience — Salary range: $61,000 – $106,000 annually.
