About the role

Serves as a coach and leader for teachers as they implement instruction. Under the direction of the school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students. Instructs and supervises students in a variety of school-related settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes using multiple data sources. Acts as a liaison between the school building and curriculum office(s).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Plans and implements instructional programs that adhere to system wide goals and priorities and meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Communicates standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents.
  • Maintains complete and accurate student academic, attendance, and disciplinary records.
  • Mainters an instructional environment that is conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Maintains and oversees appropriate use and care of textbooks, instructional materials, facilities, and equipment.
  • Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, paraeducators, parents, and community members in the education of students.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years' teaching experience (to include specialized areas such as guidance, speech pathologist, psychologist, PPW, etc.).
  • Possession of a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Professional License appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional License is preferred.

Pay

SALARY: $60,600 - $120,717 (Valid Until 12/31/2025) $61,026 - $120,717 (Effective 1/1/2026)

Schedule

Grade 10 - Month Pay Scale - Valid until January 2026 - 10 - Month Pay Scale - Effective January 1, 2026
