About the role
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities
- Teach students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and related service providers to support student learning.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other special education meetings as required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sign language and/or use of assistive listening devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in using technology to support student learning.
