About the role
Long Term Substitute (LTS) Special Education Teacher, Center Based DCD/ASD Program (1.0 FTE) at Shakopee High School.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect services to students with learning and/or social, emotional and behavioral needs.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Develop and manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings.
- Oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies.
- Work in classroom and office environments, including lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, and keyboarding.
- Attend to personal care needs of students when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current MN teaching license in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS).
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Pay
Daily rate ranges from $289.00 to $403.76 depending on education level.
