Pay
$64,575/year, sign-on bonus available
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 37.5 hrs./week

Responsibilities
- Lead a collaborative team and manage all aspects of your classroom environment
- Provide tailored instruction to meet each student’s unique needs
- Coordinate with professionals from various disciplines
- Serve as the case manager responsible for overseeing the progress and support of your assigned students
- Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection, and charting systems
- Manage behavioral challenges
- Supervise and manage activities of aides assigned to the classroom
- Assure that appropriate curriculum is established and implemented
- Organize an effective classroom environment
- Administer appropriate and effective instructional strategies
- Coordinate and collaborate with Support Service Personnel
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with families and external service providers
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
- Demonstrate professional writing skills
- Assure deadlines are met

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required, Master’s degree in Special Education preferred
- NYS Special Education Permanent certificate or Students with Disabilities certificate or actively working toward certification
