About the role
Special Education Teacher position available in RSU 20 (Searsport/Stockton Springs).
Responsibilities
- Teach students with special needs according to curriculum and state guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational program.
Requirements
- State of Maine certification.
Qualifications
- Strong background in special education.
- Experience working with students with various disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
