Job Summary
The Special Education Teacher in the Glen Stratton Learning Center Program provides direct academic and behavioral instruction to students as part of a team-based approach to educational programming to students with autism and behavioral needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Maine Department of Education (282) Special Education Certification appropriate to teaching position.
- Certification as a Behavioral Health Professional or willing to obtain BHP
- Experience working with students who demonstrate significant behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving
- Satisfactory references and background
- Valid Driver’s License
