About the role

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Special Education Teacher for its esteemed Riverside School. The position offers a competitive salary range from $86,985.60 - $89,107.20/year for Master Level with licensure, depending on years of experience, and $72,134.40/year for Bachelor's level with licensure. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, with full on-site and in-person programming.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students with moderate disabilities in an academic setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with other professionals to support student learning
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities (required)
  • One year post-degree experience working with children and/or adolescents in an academic setting (preferred)
  • Current licensure in special education

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
