Special Education Teacher
About the role
Riverside Community Care is seeking a Special Education Teacher for its esteemed Riverside School. The position offers a competitive salary range from $86,985.60 - $89,107.20/year for Master Level with licensure, depending on years of experience, and $72,134.40/year for Bachelor's level with licensure. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, with full on-site and in-person programming.
Responsibilities
- Teach students with moderate disabilities in an academic setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with other professionals to support student learning
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities (required)
- One year post-degree experience working with children and/or adolescents in an academic setting (preferred)
- Current licensure in special education
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle

- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
