About the role

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Special Education Teacher for its esteemed Riverside School. The position offers a competitive salary range from $86,985.60 - $89,107.20/year for Master Level with licensure depending on years of experience, and $72,134.40/year for Bachelor's level with licensure. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM with full on-site and in-person programming.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students with moderate disabilities in a supportive learning environment
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
  • Participate in regular meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and needs
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities strongly preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with licensure in moderate disabilities required
  • One year post-degree experience working with children and/or adolescents in an academic setting preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required for local travel

  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
