Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, individualized learning experiences that help students succeed academically and behaviorally.
  • Develop lessons aligned with each student’s IEP goals.
  • Foster positive classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent progress and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs and behavior support plans.
  • Knowledge of behavior management and positive behavioral interventions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and classroom leadership skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and service providers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with students facing behavioral and academic challenges.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, structured environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
