About the role
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part-Time Special Education Teacher at The Tuscaloosa Academy for Growth and Change in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies.
- Track student attendance.
- Maintain student grades.
- Prepare lesson plans.
- Absorb and assist as needed in the classroom setting.
- Respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Have an active teacher's certification in Special Education.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
- Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
- Meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License.
Benefits
Pay: $25 - $30 per hour
