About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to support student success
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Illinois teaching certificate in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with disabilities

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people
  • Passion for making a difference in students' lives

Skills

  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in using assistive technology
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
