Special Education Teacher
About the role
Pillar High School seeks a dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment, focusing on delivering individualized education and implementing high-quality curriculum tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop IEPs
- Utilize assistive technology
- Differentiate instruction
- Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers
- Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses
- Collaborate closely with families to support the students
- Be prepared and punctual for meetings, conferences, and trainings
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Special Education or Early Childhood Education
- NJ Certification as Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped
- Minimum of 2 years teaching students with disabilities preferred

Pay
$70,000 to $85,000 annually
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-3:15 pm, 12 months with paid recess

Pillar Care provides specialized programs to meet a wide range of educational, therapeutic, and social needs of people with various disabilities. The agency serves over 1,650 families each year and employs 700 full- and part-time employees.
