Special Education Teacher

About the role

The Special Education Teacher will work at Cobbles Elementary within the Penfield Central School District. This position is a probationary role and requires appropriate New York State certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, classroom teachers, and related service providers to support student learning.
• Assess students' progress towards IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Current New York State teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
