Special Education Teacher

About the role

The Special Education Teacher assists paraprofessionals and classroom teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal support to students with disabilities.

The teacher works collaboratively with school staff to promote student independence, inclusion, and success while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with paraprofessionals and classroom teachers.
• Provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal support to students with disabilities.
• Promote student independence, inclusion, and success through collaborative efforts with school staff.
