Special Education Teacher

About the Role

MIYO Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position at an Elementary School in Bradford County, Florida. This role involves teaching a K-2 self-contained special education classroom with a small caseload of 9 students in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
• Develop engaging lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Florida Department of Education Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Passion for helping students reach their full potential
