Special Education Teacher
About the Role
LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA is hiring certified Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic school year. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for certified Special Education Teachers. LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for middle and high school students affected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. Our comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized to actively engage each student and achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting.
- Monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods.
- Observe and record student progress daily.
- Develop and monitor students’ IEPs, reports, goals, and objectives; attend IEP meetings.
- Establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP.
- Manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, the S.M.A.R.T. Program, and positive behavior support plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required.
- PA certification in Special Education is required.
- Content area certifications preferred.
- Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.
