About the role
Lester Prairie School is seeking a 1.0 FTE Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year.
Responsibilities
- Create lessons and learning environments that are appropriate for all students with varying levels of skills.
- Assess students' developmental, cognitive, and social needs and provide developmentally appropriate instruction to meet those needs.
- Establish developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and share with students and families.
- Regularly assess student learning by using multiple forms of assessment.
- Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.
Requirements
- A valid MN SPED licensure.
Qualifications
- Experience with special education curriculum and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills
- Effective teaching strategies for special education students.
- Ability to collaborate with other educators and support staff.
- Knowledge of educational assessments and interventions.

Pay
- Salary Range: $44,582 - $83,214 depending on education and experience.
Schedule
- Start Date: August 24, 2026.
- 181 duty days.
