Responsibilities

  • Create and implement structured lesson plans
  • Build a therapeutic rapport with our students
  • Work collaboratively with our Special Education team
  • Attend meetings with family members, collaterals, and other teams
  • Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued
  • Support students in developing a sense of self and providing them the skills to be successful in their next steps

Requirements

  • A Massachusetts teaching license
  • A Massachusetts Moderate Special Education License preferred
  • Knowledge of the needs of the population served and understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with students, families, and collaterals in a positive manner
  • Leadership abilities, ability to work alone in an unsupervised environment, and capacity to serve as a responsible, mature, and flexible role model
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Therapeutic rapport-building skills
  • Ability to provide safety and support in a therapeutic setting

Pay

The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $94,000 per year.
