About the role

Responsible for delivering specialized education programs to students with special needs in a Chicago-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Evaluate student performance regularly and adjust instruction as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Illinois teaching certificate.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
