Qualifications
Working knowledge of Next Generation Learning Standards and NY state assessments
The ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool
Ability to differentiate instruction for delayed learners
Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff
Loyalty and evidence of being a team player and willingness to collaborate with staff
Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community
Strong understanding of the LCSD strategic plan and culturally responsive sustaining framework
Strong understanding of positive classroom management techniques
Strong understanding of special education regulations
Requirements
- New York State certification in students with disabilities: at the grades K-4 levels for Charles Upson and Anna Merritt
- New York State certification in students with disabilities all grades or secondary Level and one additional content area (ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies)
