Special Education Teacher

Location: Willimantic, CT

About the role

We are seeking dedicated full-time Special Education Teachers to support elementary, middle, and high school students with diverse learning needs. Grades K–4 plus an Autism Program serving K–8 (caseload to be determined).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide individualized instruction tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress
• Monitor and document student progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Certification: SPED 065 or 165 (required)
• Experience with IEP development and special education services
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
