Special Education Teacher

About the role

We are seeking dedicated High School Special Education Teachers to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidates will provide instructional support and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring academic success and personal growth. Position: Full-Time (Grades 10–12). Location: Brooklyn, NY. Start Date: ASAP. End Date: End of School Year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals.
• Deliver specialized instruction in inclusive classroom settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support students with cognitive, developmental, and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with high school students (Grades 10–12).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
