About the role
Special Education Teacher in the Academic, Social, Communication (ASC) Unit. This position provides special education services according to each student’s IEP for classrooms serving K-12 students with intellectual disabilities and those with similar program needs in the Davis School District.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative program planning, delivery, and evaluation for students with complex educational, social, behavioral, self-help, and/or medical needs
- Participate in district and departmental meetings and in-service training
- Work with administrators, regular education teachers, parents, and outside agencies that serve the same students
Requirements
- Special Education (K-12+) teaching license required
- Severe Disabilities endorsement preferred; Mild/Moderate endorsement considered
