Special Education Teacher
About the role
Responsible for delivering specialized educational programs to students with special needs, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with parents and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to student learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and administrators to support student development.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in the state of employment.
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
