The Collaborative for Educational Services (SEIS) is hiring Special Education Teachers for the Department of Youth Services in Westfield, MA. This position offers a supportive, structured environment focused on student growth, with small class sizes and dedicated behavioral support staff.
Responsibilities
- Teach in a classroom setting with a maximum of 7 students
- Work in a collaborative environment with behavioral and clinical staff
- Support at-risk youth in alternative settings
- Implement a patient, adaptable, and trauma-informed approach to instruction
- Commit to equitable, student-centered education
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
- Massachusetts teacher licensure in Moderate Disabilities 5-12
- Demonstrated commitment in teaching high risk youth
- Committed to social justice and equity for students and adults alike
- Multilingual and/or multicultural candidates desirable
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Education or related field preferred
