About the role

The Collaborative for Educational Services (SEIS) is hiring Special Education Teachers for the Department of Youth Services in Westfield, MA. This position offers a supportive, structured environment focused on student growth, with small class sizes and dedicated behavioral support staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a classroom setting with a maximum of 7 students
• Work in a collaborative environment with behavioral and clinical staff
• Support at-risk youth in alternative settings
• Implement a patient, adaptable, and trauma-informed approach to instruction
• Commit to equitable, student-centered education

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
• Massachusetts teacher licensure in Moderate Disabilities 5-12
• Demonstrated commitment in teaching high risk youth
• Committed to social justice and equity for students and adults alike
• Multilingual and/or multicultural candidates desirable

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Education or related field preferred
