Special Education Teacher

About the role

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher in Pelham, New Hampshire for the 2026–2027 school year, serving students grades 3 through 5. The organization takes a personalized approach to match candidates with positions based on experience, preferred age group, caseload interests, and geographic preferences. Educators receive daily support from a dedicated Service Delivery Manager, ongoing mentorship, collaboration with SLPs, OTs, PTs, school psychologists, and district teams, access to resources and best practices, and a culture focused on communication, responsiveness, and educator well‑being to reduce burnout and help teachers thrive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Utilize evidence‑based instructional strategies and interventions
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
• Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments

Requirements

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Experience in school‑based special education settings preferred
• New graduates and experienced educators are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Valid New Hampshire Special Education certification or eligibility for certification
