About the role

The Special Education teacher position at Arisa Health's Therapeutic Day Treatment program in Siloam Springs requires a current Arkansas Special Education Teaching certification or a current Arkansas Teaching certification with a willingness to obtain Special Education certification. A bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom instruction to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with a team.
  • Have experience with Individualized Education Plans, 504s, and behavioral/functional support plans.
  • Experience with statewide testing is preferred.
  • Work full-time, exempt (salaried).
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. during the academic year.

Requirements

The ability to work collaboratively with a team, good communication skills, patience, flexibility, and good time management skills are required.
