Pay: $48/hour local

Middle School Setting

Assignment Overview

The Selected Teacher Will Teach self-contained special education content classes
Support students in inclusion settings alongside general education teachers
Implement IEP goals and accommodations
Modify curriculum and instructional materials based on student needs
Support students with a wide range of learning, behavioral, and academic profiles

Students On The Caseload

• Students requiring significant curriculum modifications in a self-contained setting
• Students with average to high academic abilities who need behavioral supports and inclusion assistance
• Students with individualized behavior intervention plans

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs
• Provide specialized instruction and targeted interventions
• Support students in both self-contained and inclusion environments
• Implement behavior intervention plans and classroom accommodations
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Special Education License required
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Experience implementing behavior plans preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
• Ability to modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
