Assignment Overview

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated school team in Beloit, Wisconsin for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs while ensuring compliance with educational plans and state requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and support staff
• Assess and track student progress, adapting instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and educational goals
• Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development activities

Qualifications

• Required: Active Wisconsin DPI Special Education Teaching License
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred: Previous experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
