Position Details Location: Fall River, MA Schedule: Monday–Friday (varies by school)Pay Rate: Up to $60/hour, based on experienceRequirements: MA DESE License Role Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)Provide direct instruction in academic and behavioral areasCollaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and familiesMonitor and document student progress toward IEP goalsCreate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Ideal Candidate Profile Valid MA teaching license in Special EducationExperience working with students with autism, behavioral challenges, or learning disabilitiesStrong classroom management and instructional skillsAbility to lead and collaborate with support staffFlexible, patient, and committed to student growth Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferredState Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferredState Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferredEndorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferredComplies with all relevant professional standards of practice Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Interested? The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
