About the role
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking an Exceptional Children's (EC) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in High Point, NC. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, and focuses on an Elementary school - Resource Classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach students with special needs according to the EC curriculum
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
- Valid EC Teaching license from NCDPI
- Resource classroom license required
- At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred
- Passion for working with children
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
