We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of our special needs students. In this role, you will provide individualized support to help students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student success
• Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies
• Effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
• Interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring
• Use technology and multimedia resources in the classroom
• Stay current on best practices and developments in special education

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state certification or license as a Special Education Teacher
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans and behavior management strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
