About the role
The Puyallup Open Doors program is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Education teacher to provide specialized support for students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they meet all academic requirements and achieve their educational goals.
- Work with students using Edmentum, a digital curriculum accessible both during and outside of school hours.
- Create and implement Mastery-Based Projects tailored to each student's learning needs.
- Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster an inclusive environment where all students can succeed.
Requirements
- Hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
Qualifications
- Passport to Teaching endorsement preferred.
Skills
- Passion for supporting diverse learners.
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
