Poole School District is seeking a Special Education Speech Language Pathologist.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12 within the district's special education program. This position requires a current teaching certificate with an appropriate endorsement from OSPI.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address communication disorders
- Evaluate student progress and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Washington State teaching certificate with an appropriate endorsement
- Valid Washington State teaching license
- Experience working with students with speech and language impairments
Qualifications
- Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using speech-language assessment tools and techniques
- Ability to work with diverse populations and settings
