Poole School District is seeking a Special Education Speech Language Pathologist.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12 within the district's special education program. This position requires a current teaching certificate with an appropriate endorsement from OSPI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address communication disorders
  • Evaluate student progress and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Washington State teaching certificate with an appropriate endorsement
  • Valid Washington State teaching license
  • Experience working with students with speech and language impairments

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using speech-language assessment tools and techniques
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and settings
