Special Education - RSP - West County Mandarin School - Starting School Year 2026-27

Responsibilities

• Teach students with Special Education (non‑severely handicapped) needs in a public school setting.
• Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student in conjunction with the IEP Team.
• Follow curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.
• Plan and implement the IEP program to include academic requirements as well as social and emotional competencies.
• Assist school staff to interpret abilities and utilize broader curriculum to expand classroom opportunities.
• Create an effective learning environment and monitor and supervise activities.
• Develop a system of classroom records regarding student progress, parent contact, and instructional supplies.
• Participate in school administrative meetings and relevant educational conferences.

• Copy of English Learner Authorization (CLAD/EL or equivalent)

• 2‑3 letters of recommendation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
