About the role
The Oxford Hills School District is seeking an experienced Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 4-6 at Paris Elementary School. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Maine certificate with endorsement #282.
Responsibilities
- Teach and support students with special needs in a resource room setting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide small group and individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
- Support the building principal and director of student services in managing the special education program
Requirements
- A valid Maine teaching certificate with endorsement #282
- Experience working with students in grades 4-6
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- At least two years of successful teaching experience in special education
- Experience with differentiated instruction and data-driven decision making

$46,012.50 - $81,329.34 (SY26/27) with additional stipends for Special Education teachers
